I thought everybody might could use a little comic relief after that last blog. I just downloaded these pictures off my Dad's camera from his adventures keeping the girls while we were in Seattle. He had them for the long weekend (before they went to stay with Jeremiah's parents), and I was a little nervous about how it was going to go...one Papa with TWO little girls. As you can see, I had no reason to be concerned.
He is so nervous about getting us dressed and to church on time, that we're ready an hour early--just enough time to play in the yard in our Sunday clothes.(And notice he even did my bow!)
Even after Krispy Kreme, he still takes me to McDonald's for lunch.
And it's soooo good.
He understands that, sometimes, it's hard when you don't get your way.
He lets me go down the slide as many times as I want to.Mainly, he is a good Papa, and we are all so thankful for him.
(By the way, don't think that Kendall was there to help him with all of that. I just loved this picture of the two of them from the day she moved in to Auburn.)
I love to stay with my Papa because:
He lets me make my own omelet, even before the sun's awake.
He lets me run around outside butt naked, just because I want to.
He makes me laugh while I eat dinner.
He lets me bake cookies and eat all the dough I want.
He takes me to Krispy Kreme for breakfast.
And he knows that a girl needs a chocolate covered doughnut too.
And he knows that a girl needs a chocolate covered doughnut too.
He thinks my milk mustache is cute, even when it's mixed disgustingly with the sugar from my doughnut.
He indulges my need to be a princess.Even after Krispy Kreme, he still takes me to McDonald's for lunch.
And it's soooo good.

I knew she was having a fun weekend. I guess that is why I couldn't understand her at church when she was trying to tell me all about it.....she was talking so fast because she had so much to tell. The girls have a sweet Papa. Oh and the bow might have been the best part of the Sunday dress.
that is awesome!! i can't believe your dad got out with them so much. a lot of grandparents don't do that kind of thing, especially a grandaddy!! way to go papa!!
I love it all!! I know your dad loved every minute of it!!
HOW PRECIOUS! I love how he took time to capture the sweetest moments of their weekend! Looks to me like they love it when their parents take a much needed vacation :) So sweet to see the connection the girls have with their Papa!
PS. I love Mapples teeth :D
What a wonderful dad you have! They look like they had the time of their lives! You are so wonderful to allow him to have that time with those precious girls. How lucky he is to have 4 beautiful daughters (and 2 granddaughters) that care so much for him and how lucky are you girls to have him to care so much for you! What a blessing and a treasure!
love you sweetie!
Kendall

How great that their Papa did ALL that AND took pictures!!!
Abby
My dad says that is one of the greatest thing to him about being a grandparent: He can spoil them rotten when he has them and then he can send them back to their parents when he is done! I know they had a blast... miss you

My husband and I were walking up the sidewalk that Sunday morning at the same time your dad was coming in from the parking lot with the two girls. We were wondering if he had kept them and gotten them dressed by himself! But he has obviously had a lot of practice since he helped raise 4 girls. :)
How cute! He is brave to take two little ones out of the house so much. It looks like they all had a blast! What a sweet Papa!
Your daddy has had lots of practice with you 4 girls - I can still remember sitting in church on Sunday mornings and your family coming in the back and sitting - all dressed so pretty - my mom always wondered how ya'll did it with 4 girls so close in age - I'm glad your dad took the pictures - that's one thing I've got to train our grandparents (my parents and in-laws) to do when they have our children!
SO sweet!
LOVE that butt naked picture!! :) Oooh, and baking cookies in underwear! ;)
What a great PAPA!!!!! I absolutely loved getting a snippet of that precious time! That was beautiful! How blessed they are to have him~he even managed pictures! He is soooooo on top of it!
When he told us in Sunday School that he had them both all weekend, I immediately blurted out, "You do little GIRL hair?" He said yes, but not well, adding that Becky could put a bow in that would withstand "hurricane force winds." That's an art, people.
What a great grandfather....
I think I popped up as Oakland, California... I don't know why Oakland. But I think you know who I am by now...
Abby, I don't always post but I love and can't wait for new post to read. I love your family. The week end with your Daddy is just BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!
